There is a pupil council, a parent council, a participation council, and a co-determination council. Our ambition is to involve parents\/carers and pupils more in the development of the school and in making choices concerning education and personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participation of parents\/carers is legally regulated through the participation council (MR). Due to Werenfridus being organised as one of the schools under the joint umbrella of Tabor, this organisation is split into a joint participation council (GMR) and a partial council (DR).&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/werenfridus.nl\/en\/onze-school\/medezeggenschap\/ouders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">For more information, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ouderlagen\">Parental association<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the school, the views of parents\/guardians are important. Their involvement makes a positive contribution to the school's quality. We regularly organise meetings where parents\/guardians can get together. These evenings are intended to ask for feedback from parents on how things are going and developments at school. We also sometimes organise themed evenings or masterclasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parent council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Parent Council supports parent representation within the GMR (General Participation Council) and LR (Participation Council). In addition to this formal channel, the Parent Council maintains close contact with the school leadership at Werenfridus. Besides parents\/guardians, the management is also represented at the Parent Council meetings. There are approximately six meetings per school year. We aim for parents\/guardians from the Parent Council to be elected as members of the sub-council and\/or participation council. The Parent Council is informed by the school leadership about various matters and consulted for their opinion.&nbsp;<br><a href=\"https:\/\/werenfridus.nl\/en\/onze-school\/organisatie\/medezeggenschap\/ouderraad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Curious about what else we do?<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions or wish to bring anything to the attention of the parent council, you can always contact them by email:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:wf-ouderraad@tabor.nl\" target=\"_blank\">wf-ouderraad@tabor.nl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The student council represents the interests of all students at the school, works to create a safe atmosphere and improve education, discusses issues, and strengthens contact between the school leadership, teachers, and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student council provides requested and unrequested advice to the school leadership and the participation council, and helps organise activities such as school parties and charitable campaigns. They meet regularly to discuss parts of the school policy and to contribute ideas for policy proposals. One member of the student council sits on the participation council and one member sits on the divisional council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student council can be reached via <a href=\"mailto:wf-leerlingenraad@tabor.nl\">wf-leerlingenraad@tabor.nl<\/a> and has its own office at the Red Leather Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">District council&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The district council focuses on matters that take place at Werenfridus. Staff members, parents\/carers, and pupils are represented on the district council. You can see the district council (DR) as the school's participation council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, we represent the interests of pupils, parent(s)\/carer(s) and staff. The DR often has an advisory role, but sometimes also a decision-making role in policy matters. The participation council can, both when asked and unasked, speak, make proposals or give advice on all matters concerning the school and the children. Important plans from the management require the approval of the participation council. For other matters, the council has the right to be consulted. In principle, each member remains on the council for three years, after which the member can either stand for re-election or resign. If someone resigns, new elections will be held.<br><br>The district council can be reached via&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:wf-locatieraad@tabor.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wf-deelraad@tabor.nl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participation Council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Participation Council (MR) represents the interests of pupils, parent(s)\/carer(s), and staff of the Tabor College. The council exercises co-determination over the (proposed) policy that applies to multiple locations within the Tabor College. Tabor College has a Students' Charter, which outlines the rights and obligations of students, and a Privacy Policy detailing how we handle student data.
