Pupil registration and admission

Entry requirements for first year secondary school

The advice of the Year 8 teacher is the standard for admission. For Werenfridus, this therefore means at least a havo recommendation. Other tests and assessments are not considered for admission at our school.

  • atheneum-class → vwo-advice

Transition for heterogeneous first-year secondary school class

If you are in the first year of a havo/vwo bridge class in the 2025-2026 school year, you will receive two grades for each test in a number of subjects from the autumn half-term break: one at havo level and one at vwo level. This is how you will discover which learning pathway suits you best. This can vary from subject to subject, but it will give you, your parents, and your teachers a clear picture of where you stand now and where you can grow.

In addition, the DIA tests for language and arithmetic also play an important role in determining your level. These tests provide insight into your skills and help you make a well-considered choice for the rest of your school career.

This way you get the opportunity to further develop your talents and you'll work step by step towards a learning path that best suits your abilities.

The school recommendation

The advice from the primary school is leading for secondary education (and therefore also for Tabor College). The secondary school may place a student higher if, for example, class distribution requires it, but not lower. Placing a student lower is only possible at the request of the parent(s)/carer(s) if the secondary school agrees.

The educational report

The law states that primary schools must submit an OKR for each student to the secondary school. In West Friesland, the transfer of this OKR is done digitally as much as possible via the DigiDoor system.

Within the VO West-Friesland partnership, agreements have been made regarding the application procedure, which are also applied by the schools of the Tabor College.
