Do you want to combine school and sport at the highest level? Then Tabor College is the place for you!
d’Ampte, Oscar Romero and Werenfridus are official Elite Sports Schools. This means that as an elite athlete or an ambitious athlete, you will be given the space to grow, both at school and in your sport.
A schedule that moves with you, a top sports coach who thinks along with you, and education that suits you. You're training for gold, we'll make sure you don't miss a thing along the way.
What is a Sports Talent School?
Tabor College Werenfridus has been a Sports Talent School for many years, which was previously known as a ‘LOOT’ school. This means that as a young elite athlete, you can combine education and sport with us. A Sports Talent School is a school with a special licence, issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. This gives us, as a school, permission to offer extra facilities and support to young elite athletes, so that you can obtain your diploma alongside all your training sessions and competitions.
Even if you don't have elite sports status, but you do participate in high-level sports and train a lot, we're still happy to use our expertise to help you combine elite sports and school.
Do you combine top-level sport and school?
Depending on your level as a top athlete and your personal circumstances, a Sports Talent School can offer ‘tailor-made’ education. For elite athletes, it is even possible to spread the final exams over two academic years.

That's how it works!
Mila Jepkes (tennis) and Thymen Kuipers (dance) both train at a high level and therefore have elite athlete status. They have made a video to explain what such a status entails, what it means to be at an Elite Sports Academy, and how they experience contact with their elite sports mentor.
