Werenfridus: coming home to an innovative building
Choosing Werenfridus means you'll be going to school in an innovative and modern building. In May 2018, after extensive renovation and new construction, Werenfridus returned to De Keyzerstraat in Hoorn. And that yields a lot.
Werenfridus, our village
School is a place where you meet each other. And a village is a beautiful metaphor for that. Our building is – much like a village – not too big and there is a great sense of togetherness. Here, you know each other and look out for each other. Our square in the heart of the school therefore plays an important role.
Learning houses
Around our central square, you'll find the various learning houses. Each learning house has its own colour. There are learning houses for Languages, Society, Science, Art, and Sport. This makes it easy to find your way around the school. And what's also nice is that the learning houses offer plenty of space to relax or work together in groups.
Move
Werenfridus gets you moving. Especially with our four gymnasiums and the sports fields on our own grounds. We like to make moving and learning at the same location possible for all students. Furthermore, Werenfridus is a Healthy School. Read here what that entails exactly.
