Liability
The school cannot accept liability for damage to or theft of pupils' property. The school is also unable to insure against such damage. Each pupil has a locker in which personal belongings can be stored.
Through permanent video surveillance, including in the bicycle storage area, we do our utmost to prevent damage to and theft of bicycles. In such cases, this does not grant the affected party any right to compensation for damages from the school.
The school will fully cooperate with the police to identify perpetrators of damage or theft, including by providing video footage to the police. Furthermore, the school reserves the right to open and inspect lockers without prior notice if there is suspicion or indication of improper use.
Group accident insurance
The Tabor College administration has taken out collective accident insurance. The insurance only covers the costs of bodily injury resulting from an accident during school hours, school trips, excursions, as well as on the way from home to school v.v. by the shortest route for a maximum of one hour before school starts and a maximum of one hour after school finishes, insofar as they are not covered by insurance taken out for the pupil himself. To qualify for compensation under this insurance, the rules are as follows: the pupil or one of the parent(s)/carer(s) must request an accident report form from the school administration, complete it and then hand it in to the school administration. Further details will then be received from the insurance company. From this moment on, one has a direct claim on this company, from whom one will also receive the reimbursement - outside the school - to reimburse costs already paid or still to be paid. Any compensation claimed from the insurance company which is not paid out by this company cannot be recovered either from the school or from the board of the foundation.
