Each year, the Tabor College asks parents/carers for a contribution towards the costs of activities and special programmes. The college-wide agreements that apply to this can be found on the Tabor College website. Here you will also find a detailed explanation of the finances and the Voluntary Parent Contribution Scheme.

Parent contribution

Voor het schooljaar 2026-2027 vragen wij een algemene ouderbijdrage van € 75,- per leerling. Dit geld besteden we aan uitgaven die niet door de overheid worden vergoed, zoals de kosten van de voorbereiding van leerlingen op de keuze van een vervolgopleiding, contributies aan instellingen waarbij de school is aangesloten, de mediatheek, de cultuurkaart, buitenles activiteiten, de ouderraad en de collectieve ongevallenverzekering. Van de besteding van de ouderbijdrage leggen we elk jaar verantwoording af aan de ouders in de medezeggenschapsorganen. Betaling van de vrijwillige ouderbijdrage is wettelijk niet verplicht. We gaan er wel van uit dat deze bijdrage, waar dat mogelijk is, voor elke leerling wordt betaald.

Structure of the school invoice

On the invoice you receive from the school, in addition to the voluntary parent contribution, a number of other amounts are included. The so-called category 2 costs are not voluntary, but compulsory. These are for personal materials that last longer than a year, such as sports clothing, practical clothing, calculators, and so on. If parents/guardians order these materials themselves directly from a company, then they will of course not be on the invoice you receive from Tabor College. 

In addition, category 4 costs may be listed on the invoice you receive from the school. These are costs for extra activities outside the compulsory curriculum, organised by the school. Think of excursions, introductory camps, bilingual education, etc. We realise that the contribution for these costs is not compulsory. Therefore, we appreciate it all the more if you still support us, so that we can continue to organise these activities for all pupils.

Explanation of additional parental contribution TTO

De school vraagt naast de normale vrijwillige ouderbijdrage een extra bijdrage voor tweetalig havo en tweetalig vwo. Deze bijdrage is onder meer bedoeld voor de culturele activiteiten, excursies, examens en het internationale uitwisselingsprogramma. Dat bedrag verschilt per jaarlaag en is afhankelijk van de activiteiten in het betreffende jaar. Jaarlijks wordt een overzicht van de inkomsten en uitgaven in de ouderlaag TTO besproken. In de bovenbouw zijn de kosten hoger dan in de onderbouw. Het kan verstandig zijn om voor de bovenbouw te sparen.

Explanation of the additional parental contribution for Gymnasium

Ook voor deelname aan het gymnasium wordt een Additional parental contribution requested. This includes organising various interesting activities specifically aimed at grammar schools during the school year.
